What is Beylo, and how can it help me?

Beylo is a peer-to-peer rental marketplace that connects people who need items with those who own them. Whether you need camping gear for a weekend trip or want to earn money from items gathering dust, Beylo makes it simple and safe.

How do I list an item for rent?

Listing is quick and easy. Simply download the app, take a few photos of your item, set your price and availability, and publish. Your listing will be visible to renters in your area within minutes.

Is it safe to rent from strangers?

Safety is our priority. All users are verified through ID checks and phone verification. You can also read reviews from previous transactions and message users before committing to a rental.

How do payments work on Beylo?

All payments are handled securely through the app. Renters pay upfront, and owners receive their earnings after the rental is completed. No cash exchanges or awkward negotiations needed.

How do I create an account and verify my identity (18+)?

Create an account using our Beylo App with your basic details. We may ask for your date of birth where needed to confirm you're 18+. Business users may also provide company details (e.g., VAT number).

When you book an item, you enter a binding rental agreement with the Owner. Beylo is a neutral marketplace and isn't a party to that rental agreement — it only facilitates bookings and payments.

How do cancellations and refunds work?

If the Owner cancels or doesn't approve, you get a full refund. If the Renter cancels: more than 48h before start gets a full refund, 48-24h gets 50% refund, less than 24h gets no refund of rental charges.

When am I charged and how do payouts work?

Payments are processed via Stripe. Renters authorise Beylo/Stripe to charge rental charges. Owner payouts are processed through Stripe to the Owner's bank account, typically instantly or within a few business days.

Do you charge platform fees?

Yes. Service Fee (7% of rental price, min €1, max €50) and a payment processing fee (2.9% + €0.30) shown at checkout.

What if an item is damaged, missing, or returned late?

Renters must return items on time and in the same condition; Owners must accurately describe item condition. If a dispute arises, Beylo will investigate and may capture/hold funds while the dispute is resolved.

What data do you collect, and how can I access/delete it (GDPR)?

We collect account, booking/transaction, device/usage and communications data; payments are handled by Stripe. You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection by contacting us.

What it actually costs to rent a kayak or a paddle board in Mallorca

Kayak rental in Mallorca starts at around €10 an hour and a full day runs to €60 or €70. Paddle board rental sits between €12 and €20 an hour. These are the 2026 prices, and what changes when you rent from a person instead.

Ten euros. That is roughly where an hour of kayaking starts on the beaches of the Bay of Palma. A paddle board costs about the same, €12 to €15 an hour in Can Pastilla and a little more up in Alcúdia. That sounds cheap, and it is if you only want a short paddle. The sums change once the short paddle stretches.

The 2026 prices

Kayak by the hour. From around €10. A single kayak in Can Pastilla costs €25 for an hour and a half.
Kayak for the full day. Around €60 for a single and €70 for a double.
Paddle board by the hour. €12 to €15 around the Bay of Palma and €15 to €20 in Alcúdia.
Paddle board for the full day. Between €38 and €60 depending on the area and the board.

Guided kayak tours are a different thing and start at about €39 per person. For plain rental, the trap is in the hours. Three hours on a paddle board costs €25 or €30, nearly the price of the whole day. If the plan is a full morning, ask for the day rate straight away. Even then the board goes back to the beach hut before closing time, so the full day is never entirely yours.

Renting from a person

The other route is renting the kit from someone on the island. Beylo is a peer-to-peer rental marketplace, people in Mallorca listing their things for others to rent by the day. The app is free, works on iPhone and Android and in the browser at rent.beylo.app. What you find depends on where you are. Right now there are paddle boards listed from €100 a day with free delivery anywhere on the island, paddle and electric pump included. That is more than the beach rate, and in return the board arrives where you are staying and spends the whole day with you, with no roof rack to fit and no closing time to watch.

How booking works

Pick your dates in the listing's calendar and send the request. The owner confirms it and payment is handled inside the platform, so no cash changes hands. Then you meet for the handover, or it gets delivered if the listing includes that. Returning it means meeting once more and handing it back.

September is a good month for all of this. The water is still warm and the coves start to empty. The wind tends to leave the mornings alone. Check what the hut on your beach charges and what is listed nearby, then do the maths with the hours you will actually paddle.
