What is Beylo, and how can it help me?

Beylo is a peer-to-peer rental marketplace that connects people who need items with those who own them. Whether you need camping gear for a weekend trip or want to earn money from items gathering dust, Beylo makes it simple and safe.

How do I list an item for rent?

Listing is quick and easy. Simply download the app, take a few photos of your item, set your price and availability, and publish. Your listing will be visible to renters in your area within minutes.

Is it safe to rent from strangers?

Safety is our priority. All users are verified through ID checks and phone verification. You can also read reviews from previous transactions and message users before committing to a rental.

How do payments work on Beylo?

All payments are handled securely through the app. Renters pay upfront, and owners receive their earnings after the rental is completed. No cash exchanges or awkward negotiations needed.

How do I create an account and verify my identity (18+)?

Create an account using our Beylo App with your basic details. We may ask for your date of birth where needed to confirm you're 18+. Business users may also provide company details (e.g., VAT number).

When you book an item, you enter a binding rental agreement with the Owner. Beylo is a neutral marketplace and isn't a party to that rental agreement — it only facilitates bookings and payments.

How do cancellations and refunds work?

If the Owner cancels or doesn't approve, you get a full refund. If the Renter cancels: more than 48h before start gets a full refund, 48-24h gets 50% refund, less than 24h gets no refund of rental charges.

When am I charged and how do payouts work?

Payments are processed via Stripe. Renters authorise Beylo/Stripe to charge rental charges. Owner payouts are processed through Stripe to the Owner's bank account, typically instantly or within a few business days.

Do you charge platform fees?

Yes. Service Fee (7% of rental price, min €1, max €50) and a payment processing fee (2.9% + €0.30) shown at checkout.

What if an item is damaged, missing, or returned late?

Renters must return items on time and in the same condition; Owners must accurately describe item condition. If a dispute arises, Beylo will investigate and may capture/hold funds while the dispute is resolved.

What data do you collect, and how can I access/delete it (GDPR)?

We collect account, booking/transaction, device/usage and communications data; payments are handled by Stripe. You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection by contacting us.

How to earn extra money in Mallorca by renting out what you already own

Somewhere in your garage there is something earning nothing. A paddle board that goes out twice a summer. The drill you bought to fit one kitchen. Bikes the kids have outgrown. The tent from that single camping trip. In Mallorca, an island that fills with visitors from May to October, there are people willing to pay to use exactly that for a few days. This guide covers what rents well here and what it takes to list it.

Beylo is a peer-to-peer rental marketplace born in Mallorca. People on the island list their things and other people book them for a few days. Payment is handled inside the platform. The app is free. It runs on iPhone and Android, and in the browser at rent.beylo.app.

What rents well, and when

From May to October the island lives on the water. Paddle boards, kayaks, snorkel sets and beach tents move fastest in July and August, when demand around Playa de Palma or Alcúdia is at its peak. Bikes and tools are a different story. Mallorca has a cycling season in spring and another in autumn, and a drill does not care what month it is. Neither do ladders, pressure washers, projectors or paella burners.

What you can earn

Nobody can promise you a figure and this article is not going to try. The maths is your price multiplied by the days it actually rents. List a paddle board at 15 euros a day and rent it out the four weekends of August. That is eight days and 120 euros for a board that would otherwise have stayed leaning against the wall. A pressure washer at 10 euros a day that goes out three days a month pays for itself over a winter. To choose a price, look at what similar items ask and what yours cost new. If you would not pay it, nobody else will either.

Listing takes minutes

Photos first. Take the item out into daylight and shoot it against an uncluttered background, from a couple of angles. Write a short, honest description. Say what condition it is in and what you include, a paddle, a lock, whatever comes with it. Pick your price and publish. Listing is free and there is no charge for keeping an ad live. Beylo takes a small commission when you earn.

Handover and payment

When someone books your item, you get a notification and you decide whether to accept. The handover is between the two of you. Your doorstep works, and so does the beach car park at Es Trenc if that is closer for you both. Payment happens inside the platform before the handover, so you are never chasing anyone for a bank transfer. When the item comes back, the money is yours.

The season eases off in October, but the garage does not empty. The bikes are still there, the tools are still there, and in Mallorca spring is never far away. Open the door and have a look at what you own. Somebody nearby is already searching for it.
